April & May Minutes Approved:   Mark motioned.  Susan seconded.

Guest introduction:
Karen Abrahamson, Colorado.  Here for the Social Norms conference.   There will be a meeting tomorrow for professionals doing work related to DUI from Gallatin Valley with the contingent from Colorado that are here with Karen for the conference at 2 PM at Rocky Mountain Roasting at Main and 7th.

Karen says that in Colorado there is a surcharge on DUI's to generate money for a Persistent Drunk Driver fund.

New Business:

County Fair Board Meeting –  Jenna was asked to attend a meeting where the Northeast neighborhood would voice their concerns about the possible addition of an ampitheater to the Fairgrounds, where concerts could be held, and alcohol would be served.  Attendees at the meeting were unhappy about the way the Fair Board posts notices for meetings.  She's concerned about whether she's doing what she needs in advertising these meetings.  She was told to talk with Glenda at the commission office, to ask what kind of public notice needs to be given.   Also to be sure our listing in the newspaper for meetings is current:  best to place those in the Sunday paper non-profit notices.

Jenna asked Jami if she would talk with Todd about what to do to finish getting us current with the commission so they can advertise for citizen members -- she asked Glenda about the status of the Task Force.  Glenda said there is still paperwork to be completed.

Jenna is getting refusal rates from Joel Dunlap.  She volunteered to help organize "site of last drink" surveys for MADD -- was told to be sure to ask whether the site of last drink was someone's vehicle.

The Task Force reminded Jenna about requesting Amos Riddenheur as a MSU PD Task Force member, as well as asking Joel Dunlap of the Bozeman Police Department if he would like to join.

Susan update the Task Force on the activities of the Bozeman Alcohol Commission -- there was a problem with a proposal being presented properly at the last City Council meeting -- it was tabled and will be re-presented June 28th at the 7 PM City Council meeting.

The state DUI Task Force meeting is next week -- Jenna will attend.

"Swimming Upstream Awards"
Bob attended the awards ceremony and found it very well done -- so did Sherri.  After the ceremony Bob delivered awards to Manhattan and Three Forks, to Marty Kent, Jim Oberhoff, and Donna LaRue.  They were very appreciative.  Jenna will take the plaque to West Yellowstone some time this summer, when she goes camping in that direction.

Nominations for officers
Mark does not want to be treasurer -- has new responsibilities with other boards.  Sherri said she might if no one else will.
Student rep for Cat Cab nominated for secretary.
Jami is willing to continue as Vice Chair, Bob as Chairman.

Jenna will email members for other nominations -- vote to approve at August Task Force meeting.  The Task Force voted not to have a meeting in July. (Susan motioned; Alex seconded).

Budget:
Jenna reported that she delivered 405 keychains to the motor vehicle department for summer usage.  Asked about whether the Task Force should order more  promotional items with some of the “left-over” contract funds?  The Task Force voted to approve $500 to $750 for the purchase of keychains with a DUI prevention message.  Sherrie motioned.  Alex seconded.  The motion passed.

Alex requested that the Task Force purchase good quality VHS, 6 hour tapes and several 8mm tapes for use by the Sheriff's office.  Susan motioned to approve at a total cost of around $100.  Jami seconded.  The motion carried.
